Patricia Kambesis earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois in 1974 and a B.S. in Geology from Southern Illinois University in 1982, and is working as a cartographer. She has been surveying and mapping caves for twenty-four years. She is a former director of the Lechuguilla Cave Project, Inc., and is currently president of the Cave Research Foundation. She is a Fellow of the National Speleological Society from which she has received the Lew Bicking Award and other awards for her cartography. |
